instant, No. 55291, I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to request that you will inform the Secretary of State for the Colonies that they see no reason for differing from the view of the Commodore, Hong Kong,
concurred in by the Governor, that the use of
Hong Kong as a base for Japanese fishermen
would be inconvenient.
There is no information in this
Department why the Japanese wish to use Hong
Kong in this way.
